review of Matters of The Heart by Heidi Gray McGill

Matters of The Heart
By

Meet Hans Korhonen from Missouri Prairie, an x- union soldier with Finnish ancestry. He has no life of his own, he is used to taking orders and being under authorities all his life. The last instruction from his mother was to join his three older brothers in America.

Joining the Union army didn't make things easier for Hans either, thus he returned home emotionally wounded. He is loved and despised by people who are supposed to care for him.

Feeling tired and utterly exhausted from the oppression and receiving orders from people who are supposedly controlling his life, Hans decides to move out from under them and find his own path. What happens next when he comes in contact with a guardian angel in the form of a man? Contrary to his beliefs, someone is truly watching out for him after all

Meet Katie, confident, hard-working and when you mix it with her quirkiness, that is one feisty lady that wouldn't let anyone come in her way, and that includes the magistrate of Shumard Oak Bend and his arrogant sister. But, beneath all that confident personality lies an Irish girl who is also struggling with her own insecurities, as she tries not to believe the negative words spoken to her. As far as she's concerned she has left all those baggage behind in Ireland and come to America to start up a new life and nothing, absolutely nothing will stand in her way.

If you are looking for a good heroine in a book, “Kathleen Orla Murphy is your gal. If you are also a fan of romance and historical fiction, you might be interested in this book as well.

I really enjoyed reading this beautiful historical fiction, it took me back in time, and I tell you, that is what a good book can do. Besides the wonderful entertainment of Reading novels, I also picked up a lot of lessons from the spiritual aspects and real life situations of the characters in this novel. I got a copy from the author, I chose to review it here... All the words are mine.
