Review of Dial P for Perfect by Heidi Gray McGill

Dial P for Perfect

She has the perfect voice, the kind you hear on radio and wonder, how angelic. But she doesn't have the perfect body shape, she is overweight. Her confidence level is low, she will not be able to find a true love for herself, or so she thinks until the perfect man comes around and tells her that she was just the perfect one for him. Now she is at a loss of what to believe. Is he saying the truth or is he trying to pull her legs? What about all the things she has been seeing when she looks at the mirror? What about all those guys that stay away from her because she is, fat?

The story starts off with the main character, Ginger, being seen on a date with someone she was just meeting for the first time. Upon seeing that her sonorous voice did not match her body structure in his opinion, the man wanted to be anywhere but with Ginger. !

This story captured my heart from the beginning to the last chapter, I never wanted it to finish. As I journeyed along with Ginger on her adventures, I realized that I could relate with some of her experiences. As a person who grew up with a physical challenge of sight impairment, I could relate to the feeling of inadequacy that Ginger felt and just like her, I was able to trust God and look up to him. A very beautiful story. I would recommend this book for anyone who is having low self-esteem and constantly self-conscious of their imperfections and their past mistakes.

In this book, the author lets the reader know that he or she is perfect no matter what anyone says or thinks. The author lets the reader know that what matters is only what God thinks about them. God has installed a nice and unique package and everyone. You are perfect in God's eyes.

The main character made me laugh and cried. Thank you, Heidi, for this wonderful book and keep writing.
